It is with regret that we must cancel LBE’s Annual Fundraising Banquet that was to be held on April 14, 2020. The coronovirus outbreak has been devastating to a lot of individuals, as well as ministries like ours.
Please partner with us in this time. LBE depends on donations to be able to run all of our programs and to pay our staff, and the Fundraising Banquet has always been a time “set aside” to remember what the Lord has done and to share vision for LBE’s future, as well as to raise a large portion of our yearly budget. We hope that our valued Friends and Patrons will consider making a donation through the mail, a phone call or online. Each year at the Banquet we have issued tax receipts for any donations given, but have deducted the amount that covers the cost of the meal. Because there is no meal this year, we are able to issue tax receipts for the full amount of donations given.
LBE still hopes to be able to run our summer camp this year for over 300 inner city children. We also plan to run our fall programming for hundreds of underserved kids. Currently, staff are brainstorming ways to continue to stay engaged with the children, youth and families whom we serve, whether that be through social media or other online platforms.
