LBE Banquet Report

On Friday, April 11th, 600 of LBE’s supporters met together to hear about Living Bible Explorers’ vision for Building Hope into the lives of inner city young people. This year was one of the best attended banquets in recent memory. So far with camp support, general ministry support, staff support, and pledges, we have reached a total of $105,000. Praise God for His amazing provision! We want to thank all of our table sponsors, underwriters, and people who gave at the banquet.

George Hill, our General Manager began the evening sharing about LBE’s vision and the problems LBE is actively working to solve as we minister to children, teens, and their families.

In addition, we were encouraged by a video produced by Mark Henkleman, the Teen Boys’ Program Coordinator. You can view this video below. We trust you will be encouraged as you hear the testimonies from children and teens who have had their hope built up through the impact of the ministry, and the Gospel.

We also shared three big announcements.

1) We are restructuring our summer ministry to better meet the needs of the children and teens. This will include our children’s Summer Adventures that will take them longer and farther to experience more outdoor activities. We will be including a week of leader training at the beginning of the summer from June 30th – July 4th at Explorers Bible Camp. We also are planning for one week in the summer to be a family camp.

2) Matthew Peters will join our staff to spearhead a program called Explore Wilderness Adventures. This program will utilize our camp property and train youth in outdoor leadership skills.

3) We revealed plans for our camp lodge. This lodge will cost $100,000 for the first stage to build the foundation, put up walls, windows, doors, and a roof. We trust that God will provide for our needs so we can begin construction in May.Lodge 1

Our guest speaker, Cauchy Muamba of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers preached about the value of family supporting their children as they grow up. Many children in the inner city don’t experience the support they need physically, emotionally, and spiritually – this is where’s the ministry of LBE fills the gap.

We also had a slideshow presentation prepared that highlights ministry events with the children and teens this year. We didn’t have time to show it at the banquet, so you can view it below.

We thank God for all that he has provided through this banquet and how you, our supporters are lifting us up in prayer and partnering with us through finances. We also want to thank all of our wonderful volunteers who helped prepare and serve food, set up the banquet hall, and volunteered at the event.

If you were unable to attend the banquet but would like to make a donation, you can do so by emailing Donna, by calling our office at 204-786-8667, or by donating online.
