We continue to be blessed with gifted individuals who have been called into ministry with Living Bible Explorers. Kristopher Longmuir has joined our staff as the new North End Boys’ Program Coordinator.
Kris was introduced to Living Bible Explorers this past summer when he was invited to be a counselor at our Jr. High Teens’ Camp in Hadashville. He quickly connected with the teens and had the opportunity to share his testimony around the camp fire. Kris told them about how he, like many of them, grew up without a father. At the age of twelve he was introduced into a lifestyle of drugs and other destructive behaviors. Through the life changing power of Christ, support from the church and Godly influences, Kris’ life was changed. It was a powerful and poignant message for our youth who are struggling with many of those issues themselves.
Kris and his wife Amanda are living on Selkirk Ave in the North End and feel a calling to the neighbourhood. They have a desire to invest in the community and share the light of Christ with their neighbours. Living and working in this area will create wonderful opportunities to fulfill this desire.
Kris has been working alongside Winnipeg musician/rapper Fresh I.E for the past two years, performing with him and recording his own music. Kris has already used his musical gifts at our summer camp and also at our fall Boys’ Camp.
